Professors Peillusch and Galvin raise thought-provoking questions in their recent article “Is the Chain of Command Still Meaningful?” They note that civilian organizations are moving away from “traditional bureaucracies” and that, while the military still clings (mostly) to a linear chain of command, change may be inevitable. All this begs the question: “What type of leadership structure exists within your organization and how well is it working for you?”
