“When we see or hear something initially, whether true or not, it tends to skew our subsequent thinking.”
– Raechel Melling –

All humans have biases and one of the more dangerous ones for leaders in the modern era is our tendency to believe that what we see is true. Raechel Melling explores the implications of this susceptibility in a recent post for the U.S. Army’s Mad Scientist blog that covers everything from deepfake tech to Zack Snyder’s movie Army of the Dead. Click here for her article The Exploitation of our Biases through Improved Technology and remember that just because you “see” it doesn’t mean that it’s true.
