When making decisions we often fail to fully explore our options and instead view the situation through a binary Yes/No filter. This is known as “narrow framing” and, to quote Admiral Ackbar, “It’s a trap!” Next time, instead of asking yourself “Should I do this OR that?” pose the alternative question “Is there a way I can do this AND that?” This surprisingly simple shift in perspective will open up a world of better decisions for you.
