Ralph Ellison’s words ring true for anyone striving to persevere against overwhelming odds. Entrepreneurs attempting to sling a Goliath understand this fight as does anyone who’s ever bucked “conventional” wisdom. And anyone touched by a rare disease knows this battle intimately. Today, take a moment and reflect upon someone you know who’s waged an unwinnable battle and remember that honor lies not in the scale, size or outcome of the conflict but by how the combatant rises to meet the challenge.
