If you or your leadership team expect employees to respect you solely because of your position then you’re delusional. Respect must be earned and leaders must lead.
My recent thoughts on respect in the workplace examines how different expectations cause conflict, what employees are actually looking for and how you can create an environment where respect is earned and rewarded.
