You (yes, you) probably need a better onboarding process for your new hires as the average company loses “1 in 6 of their new hires each month for the first three months.” Even more troubling is that roughly “one-third of the new hires who had quit said they’d had barely any onboarding or none at all” – which helps explain why nearly half of these departing employees cited the need for either clearer guidelines regarding their duties or more effective training. The good news is that structured onboarding makes new hires “58 percent more likely to still be at the company three years later.”  So dust off those manuals, and use these tips to sharpen up your onboarding.  Your people will thank you for it.
