New Year’s Day 2018

New Year’s Day traces its roots to ancient Rome’s celebration of Janus – god of gateways, beginnings and namesake of the month of January. We often think of New Year’s in terms of new beginnings but, as Janus would tell you, it’s also a gateway.

As you pause today to reflect and take stock of the coming year, ask yourself this question: “Am I excited for what’s on the other side of this gateway or apprehensive about what I’ll find?”  Now ask yourself “Why?” Your answer will predict your coming year better than any crystal ball and make Janus proud.

Happy New Year!
