A little over fifty-five years ago, Alabama Governor George Wallace’s reprehensible “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door” concluded peacefully. But it could have ended very differently if federalized Alabama National Guard Brigadier General Henry Graham was not a leader of high moral fiber.
