“The steps that are needed now must be taken promptly.”
– President Harry S. Truman –

On June 27, 1950, President Truman ordered U.S. air and sea forces to provide military assistance to the Republic of Korea in response to the invasion by its northern neighbor. When historians are asked what triggered the invasion which kicked off the Korean War, one oft-cited factor among many is miscommunication.

While ineffective communication within your organization likely won’t result in armed conflict, the lesson from 74 years ago remains relevant today. What you say and how you say it matters… even when you’re unsure whether anyone is watching.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Be strong. Lead well.
