“I’m On A Boat!”
– The Lonely Island –

While they won’t bunk with T-Pain, all U.S. Coast Guard Academy cadets spend at least six weeks aboard the Guard’s sole active duty sailing vessel – USCGC Eagle. (Click here to learn more about the Eagle).

Learning how to sail and navigate celestially might seem out of step in the age of GPS, but working in such close quarters teaches cadets leadership and team building. It’s an amazingly effective form of onboarding that’s literally on board (a ship). How does your organization bring new hires on board?
