If you’ve ever seen the above meme before, you’re probably laughing right now. What’s not a laughing matter, though, is when someone actually does pwn your base(s). Ransomware is a $1B+ annual business and I personally know two executives that have had their organization’s systems hijacked. Now comes news that towns, municipalities and local governments are targets. But how should you make sure that your bases remain yours? For starters, download the FBI’s document “Prevention and Response for CISOs.” and take seriously their recommendation that “Proactive Prevention is the Best Defense.“
