“Insider threats” are on the rise and come in three distinct flavors: malicious insider, negligent insider and infiltrator. All will inflict harm upon your organization and in 2018 53% of organizations surveyed confirmed that they had experienced an insider attack against their organization within the past 12 months. The threat for organizations of all sizes is real and the U.S. Army War College, in cooperation with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSDI) has announced an essay contest to “generate new ideas and elevate thinking about insider threats and how we respond to and counter the threat.” Click here for more information about insider threats and the essay contest or Click here to download the 2018 Insider Threat Report.
