Very rarely do I share someone else’s work in its entirety but I was inspired by a recent post from gapingvoid Culture Design Group that’s perfect for this Martin Luther King Day. So here goes…

Mindset is everything.

As we do our work, it is easy to assume the worst: People are lazy, their intentions aren’t good, they lie.

You’ll find that if you assume the best, if you give your best, then things just work better. Call it love, call it positive intent, it spreads.

The net of it is that everyone does better, they take pride and feel good.

These little steps towards helping people feel better about their work, celebrating small wins, is how you can affect change at scale. Our friend BJ Fogg, uses this approach for changing behavior. We all want big changes, but the best way to achieve this is to start small.
