When you work with enough leaders on a weekly basis, themes naturally arise. This week, the recurrent theme has been the challenge of moving an organization forward in the face of difficult stakeholder and leadership team member personalities. If this challenge was an equation it might be represented something like this:

(Organizational Size + # of Stakeholders) / Leadership Team Sophistication * Organizational Resources = Ability to Drive Change

While this equation isn’t as easily solved as a true mathematical formula, it does communicate the key elements of the problem. And, when one variable is changed, so does the outcome.

As you reflect upon your organization, what is your desired outcome and which variables might require adjustment to achieve it?
