As an adult, I haven’t clocked many miles sitting in a backseat. Yesterday, however, I turned the wheel over to my teenage son and moved to the rear of the cabin for part of our road trip.
Leaders must often take a backseat while their team members drive which begs the question: Are you relatively “zen” when you sit backseat or are you white-knuckling your way through it?
As for my experience, I expected anxiety yet instead felt remarkably calm. No prescription or deep breathing was needed and I wish you the same level of comfort as you inevitably relinquish control in your world.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Be strong. Lead well.
