“Tune out or burn out.”
That’s the advice two long-term employees recently dispensed to their juniors about dealing with management and, if this sentiment infects your organization, it’s a huge opportunity. Instead of blaming the disengaged, take time to unearth the real reasons they feel that way and then take action to change the culture… especially if the problem is you.
Gallup’s most recent employee engagement survey tells us that only 36% of all employees are actively engaged so you’ve got a chance to move the needle. But it’s up to you to first figure out why employees are disengaged and then to take action.
Have an engaged weekend!
