Chade-Meng Tan (aka Google Employee #107 and author of Joy on Demand: The Art of Discovering Happiness Within) observed that “noticing is the prerequisite of seeing. What we do not notice, we cannot see.” To begin noticing more, consider reshaping your mindset with these three simple exercises. Doing so will make you a more effective leader by balancing your temperament and allowing for the discovery of “thin slices of joy” – and I’ve never once heard anyone complain of too much joy in their life. So start noticing, because pretty soon you’ll begin seeing those small bits of happiness add up in big ways.
