When we think about reducing stress, neither dish washing nor Don Henley are top of mind… but perhaps they should be. A recent study out of Florida State University found that participants who read a brief passage about mindfully washing dishes before beginning the task “upped their feelings of inspiration by 25 percent and lowered their nervousness levels by 27%.” Click here for more information about this study and remember that even the most mundane domestic tasks can be both fulfilling and inspiring.
