Occassionally, I like to highlight our cognitive biases to elevate your awareness of what our brains are doing behind the scenes. Today’s head trip involves proportionality bias, which is the idea that large events must have large causes. (Think conspiracy theories like JFK’s assassination or the first moon landing being faked). Yet this bias can also rear its head in the workplace.
