“If people cannot write well, they cannot think well, and if they cannot think well, others will do their thinking for them.”
– George Orwell –

Seventy-three years ago today (4.16.1947) George Orwell’s term “Cold War” was first used to describe the rising geopolitical tension between the U.S. and U.S.S.R. Many “firsts” are difficult to describe until our language catches up to our reality. And the coming months and years will see many “firsts” that will initially be difficult to articulate. Yet as you grapple with these changes know that just as our language evolves to meet new situations, so will you. And, if I might be permitted to trot out another classical reference, you can put that in your Funk & Wagnalls.

Finally, please note one important update to our Resource Page – Pennsylvania’s new operational guidelines regarding worker safety. Effective 8pm on April 19, 2020, these new guidelines are effective for operating Pennsylvania businesses. Click here to access the specific order or Click here for the press release.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Be strong. Lead well.
