If you’ve been struggling to find quality hires you’re not alone as the Army missed its 2018 recruiting goal by 6,500 enlistments. Some military experts feel they may need to modify their recruiting strategy and Colonel Vylius Leskys suggests that four initiatives could be used to bridge the gap. They are: 1) Widen the candidate pool 2) Implement a referral program; 3) Outsource part of the accessions process and; 4) Retain experienced leadership to oversee recruiting.
