“It is important for cadets and officers to have knowledge of current events and society to be effective leaders and soldiers in a democratic society.”
– Edward Salo –

Our amazing, pluralistic society was founded upon – and continues to be fueled by – ideas. Yet constituencies arise in every generation who are intent upon stifling that discourse. In our current age that often includes discussions about shifting cultural norms, political points of view and even whether Bruster’s or Handel’s has better ice cream. (For the record it’s Bruster’s so don’t even with me). Because of this, leaders must remain aware of the dangers posed by artificially fettered conversation so today I encourage you to Click here for the recent War Room article When West Point Didn’t Want to Teach the New Deal. And happy ideating!

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Be strong. Lead well.
