Valentine’s Day 2019

“I was thinking really of future generations of women that I would like them to have that opportunity so I had that pressure on myself. And not letting people down that I knew believed in me, people that were supporting me.”
– Capt. Kristen Marie Griest, one of the first two women to graduate from U.S. Army Ranger School –

There’s a first time for everything and Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate them . . . such as the first time a foreign navy saluted the brand new “Stars and Stripes” flag on February 14, 1778. “Firsts” like this often get overshadowed by other accomplishments making this question quite important: What “firsts” have you and your organization experienced that need to be remembered and recognized?

Happy Valentine’s Day!
