People always want to change things. Yet, while change is frequently imperative, change solely for the sake of change is a seductive trap. The next time someone proposes substantial change gently pose this challenge: Paint me a picture, with as much detail as possible, about how this change will positively impact my – and our organization’s – world. Then sit back, become still and open your ears.
