– Gert “Ma” Boyle –

Growing up, I remember laughing along with the ads for Columbia Sportswear featuring President & Owner “Ma” Boyle who was “one tough mother.” Gert passed away this week at the age of 95 but not before she’d grown a modest family business to an internationally recognized brand with net sales exceeding $3 billion annually.
