Would-be attorney, “Mec,” actor, author, lyricist, screenwriter, tv host. The most interesting people’s careers seldom travel in a straight line and, despite most folks knowing him for hosting “Inside the Actor’s Studio,” James Lipton’s life followed a winding path. Lipton passed away this week and his legacy is one of deep curiosity about others and a desire to share what he learned.
